My name is Michael “Doc” Hewett. I am a member of both VFW Post 6073 and American Legion Post 30. I am married to Andrea “Red” Hewett who is a member of the VFW Post 6073 Post Auxiliary.
It is with great pride and humility that I write to you today as the newly appointed Rangemaster for VFW Post 6073.
The range is officially open and ready to serve the members of our Post and the greater veteran community of Jackson County. Whether you are a lifelong shooter or picking up a firearm for the first time, this range was built for you. It is a place for fellowship, skill building, and honoring the traditions of service that bind us all together.
As your Rangemaster, my commitment to you is simple — to maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organized range that every member can be proud of. Safety will always be our top priority, and I ask that every member familiarize themselves with our range rules before their first visit.
In the coming weeks and months you can expect:
- Regular Open Range Days for members and guests
- Orientation sessions for new shooters
- Friendly competitions and fellowship events
- Range safety and skills training opportunities
